Me as a peg

This year started off again with way to much to do, and too little time. However, I started working with a Business Coach in December last year, and he has really pushed me to achieve way more in a much faster time frame than I thought possible. You can check out his website here:

So I was first thrilled to be invited to contribute to Studio Visit magazine in January www.studiovistmagazine.com
This print magazine is distributed to around 2000 galleries throughout the US, so I hope that it will be a great stepping stone for me to find representation in the US of A!

I then was pushed by my business coach, Vinh (thanks Vinh!) to organise a solo exhibition in April at the Angel Restaurant in Freshwater, which I am in the middle of organising right now. Details below:

Dates: March 31 - May 4th
Opening night:
Wednesday April 9, 7 - 9pm
Venue:
Angel Restaurant, 29 Crown Road, Queenscliff. www.angelrestaurant.com.au

Then, shortly after confirming the solo exhibition dates, I was notified that I had been accepted to be a part of the 2014 Headon Photo Festival starting May 12 - the catch being that I have to find a venue (still looking as I write this). Very excited about this one!

In February, my artwork has also been accepted into the Art Pharmacy network of artists. They promote emerging and established artists and engage in pop-up galleries around Sydney that have worked successfully in promoting and selling artists in the way.
Here I am here: www.artpharmacy.com.au/artist/carrie-webster/

Fingers crossed - hope to be writing about how many artworks I have sold at the exhibitions in May! Oh, and the image here is my new profile pic.
